Portsmouth based period poverty project working alongside charities who support people who cannot afford sanitary products.
Our mission is to raise awareness of period poverty and educate people on menstrual health. We aim to donate sanitary products every month to organisations and charities that support individuals who menstruate. We believe that periods should not be a taboo topic.
Our story began in 2023 when Maddie was inspired by her involvement in Once A Month Southampton, a university project focused on relieving period poverty in Southampton. She realised that her hometown of Portsmouth had little awareness and support for this issue. Maddie believes that period products should not come at a high cost, but should be accessible and free for all.
Our team consists of Maddie and Evie. Maddie is the founder, and Evie is a social media content creator. Previous team members have played a vital role in shaping Free Flow Portsmouth. We are always open to welcoming new individuals to join our project, so please feel free to reach out if you're interested.
